PRP and PRF treatments at Formula Wellness in Dallas' Uptown West Village use your own blood's healing factors to rejuvenate skin quality and texture, with no synthetic products involved.
What Are PRP and PRF Treatments?
Both treatments start the same way, with a simple blood draw. From there, the sample is processed in a centrifuge to concentrate specific components involved in tissue repair and regeneration. PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, concentrates platelets and their growth factors, which are then applied to the skin, often alongside microneedling, or injected into targeted areas to stimulate collagen production and skin renewal.
PRF, or platelet-rich fibrin, uses a gentler processing method that preserves more white blood cells and creates a fibrin matrix, allowing for a slower, more sustained release of growth factors over time. This makes PRF particularly well-suited for delicate areas like the under-eyes, where a more gradual release is often preferred.
